Hello to any new reader wandering through the countless collection of blogs that has now happened to stumble across my blog. You’re probably wondering what my blog is all about and why I egotistically call myself ‘The Health Sage.’

Who am I?

Well, long story short I am somebody that prides myself on offering advice to others in many different aspects of health. Whether it is physical health: looking at Nutrition, exercise and resistance training; or mental health and using positive psychology to improve daily performance.

I am able to do this by drawing on personal experience and carrying out independent research when conversing with athletes (who happen regular gym goers at my local leisure centre.)

The problem is that many people want to get into fitness but have no idea where to start and when they do look for information, most of that info is not conveyed in a simple and effective manner. Nor do they touch upon the lesser known subjects.

Why should you read my health blog?

To provide an example, the two best informative fitness experts on Youtube are Jeff Cavalier and Jeff Nippard. They inform their viewers at a very high level and train with professional athletes. There are also other Youtubers who will provide general advice to the masses. Both of which do not help regular people who are just starting off in the health and fitness industry. This undoubtably leads to injuries, as I found out first hand.

Now this is where my blog comes in. I aim to provide the most important information to those who are lacking the knowledge of where to start when getting fitter. It is vital to understand that this is not just about physical fitness. What is more important is your mental health and how this interlinks with your physical health will be the deciding factor.

There is a vital process of preparation that you should be doing before you even set foot in the gym. The best athletes will never talk about this side of the health and fitness industry.

Also, we have to be realistic about our lives and so it is imperative that while we have our dreams and goals, we align them with a tough mentality that we will try to build together.

Why did I start this blog?

Ultimately the aim of this blog is to build a community.

Hopefully we can share ideas, experiences and advice. We should try to grow together and I will be there for anybody that seeks advice as I try to guide those that feel lost on their personal journey. In that sense, you can think of me as a lighthouse…

My content will be very varied as I aim to talk about many different important topics in the health and fitness industry.

Thank you for reading my first blog post, I hope to see you guys commenting and I will always reply no matter what.
